Dr. Cheng has been featured in the New York Times on December 8, 2009 for his volunteer work at the Remote Area Medical clinic. He was photographed and mentioned in the print article, "Overdue Stop on the Road to a Smile" (seen on the picture).

The New York Times reporter was very impressed with Dr. Cheng’s ability to deliver high quality dentistry to the large number of patients within the short span of a few days. Many patients received not just a new set of beautiful teeth, but also a new life. Dr. Cheng has expertise and techniques in transforming smiles and changing lives.
